School Climate
The school programs are designed to meet the needs of young children. The school provides a nurturing environment with emphasis on both assisting children to learn appropriate ways to solve problems and to obtain the academic skills necessary to be successful.
Pre-Kindergarten
The pre-kindergarten curriculum includes a wide range of subjects and experiences that help prepare a child for success. An introduction to reading is taught through the "Letter People" program, a fun, hands-on activity. Mathematics and the other subjects are also taught through hands-on and teacher directed activities.
NOTE: A detailed list of the learning objectives for the pre-kindergarten curriculum can be found at the Texas Education Agency web site, www.tea.state.tx.us/teks/, click on "Pre-kindergarten Curriculum Guidelines."
