Math

We will be following the 7th grade scope and sequence.  Our topics will be reasonableness, adding and subtracting decimals, modeling decimals, multiplying decimals, dividing decimals, comparing and ordering decimals, order of operations, metric units, statistics, exponents, simplifying fractions, compare and order fractions, mixed and improper fractions, decimal and fraction comparison, and rational numbers.

Science

This six weeks we will start with lab safety and lab equipment.  We will study the use of the compound microscope and have some hands-on experiences with them.  Next we will study the scientific method, measurements, and graphing.  We will finish up the six weeks and fall right into the next with properties of matter.
