Fourth Nine Weeks Expectations
 

Your child will be tested on these skills at the end of the fourth nine weeks.

Math:

Counts to 100

Recognizes numbers 0-20

Writes Numerals 0-20

Counts objects in a set of 0-20

Reads number words zero-ten

Recognizes and knows value of penny, nickel, dime, & quarter

Skip counts by 5s to 100

Skip counts by 10s to 100

Skip counts by 2s to 10

Tells time to the hour

Solves basic subtraction problems:  0-5

Knows fractions-equal parts, whole, and 1/2

Knows numbers that come before, between, and after 0-20

Makes and counts tally marks to 20

Supplies missing numbers to 20

Language Arts:

Writes last name

Reads all sight words:  the, a, my, that, and, I, is, said, you, are, we, have, to, me, go, do, for, he, she, has, with, was, not, of, look, come, here, where, little

Identifies the capital, lower case, sound, and application of all 26 letters

Recognizes beginning, middle, and ending sounds in words

Blends sounds to read simple words

Reads simple sentences

Spells simple words

Supplies the missing word in a sentence

Listening Comprehension-listens to story and answers questions

Listening Comprehension-end of year TPRI testing score

Reading Comprehension-reads sentences and matches them to pictures

Science/Social Studies:

Identifies the four needs of a plant

Identifies land and bodies of water on a map
