Expectations

Ms. V's ART ROOM EXPECTATIONS

My goal is to a studio that is safe, orderly and workable foreveryone.

I will teach my art students how the expectations of  SAFETY,
RESPECT  & RESPONSIBILTY
apply the art class and room.
For example:

            SAFETY: Sit properly in chairs.
Use tools as directed, not for any other purpose.
Nothing is ever to be thrown,
Clean up is part of having a safe room.

RESPECT: Only positive language and attitudes are acceptable.
Raise hand to speak to teacher or group.
Voices are to be kept soft.
Do not touch others, except in  assisting them,
Materials may not be wasted, stolen or vandalized.
Never work or mark on another's project or papers.

RESPONSIBILITY:  Be on time and seated quietly, working on warmup.
All work must be done to the best of your ability.
Full name and class code must be on the back of all work.
If you're in the wrong, apologize, & try to correct damage
                  Clean up as a team.
Keep your supplies and notebook up to date.

 Grading:
•  Students are always expected to work to the very best of their ability.
•  Students meeting all criteria for an assignment will be graded in the 90's.
•  Students meeting many of the criteria will be graded in the 80's.
•  Students barely meeting assignment fundamentals will be graded in 70's.
•  The 10 point spread leaves room for a variety of skills, and elaboration.

Failing grades will only be given for work not completed,
   or deliberately shoddy work.

Conduct is graded seperatrly, but may effect work.
