About The Teacher
 
    Mrs. Figueroa co-teaches with Mrs. Garmon, this is their second year to work together at AHS Vocational Living Skills, and this is Mrs. Garmon's first year as a teacher. 
    Mrs. Figueroa graduated from The University Of Houston, Clear Lake with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Interdisciplinary Studies, Elementary Education, and a major in Special Education in May 2002.  She did her student teaching in Alvin. She worked at Angleton Intermediate school for three years as a resource Language Arts, Math, and CMC teacher.  She also co-taught Science and Social Studies. She is currently working on her master's degree.  
    Mrs. Figueroa has three children.  Karley is 21 years old and a student at a local college. Karley has been accepted to The University of North Texas where she will be going in the Spring of 2007.   Daryl is 18 and attending Texas Tech in Lubbock.  Nathan is 16 and a high school Junior. Nathan enjoys going to Campus Connections and singing in the AHS Choir. Nathan is a very intelligent and talented.  All of her children are destined to do great things with their lives, and she believes the same for those who she teaches.
