A little about me....

My name is Elizabeth Leeper.  It has been my privilege to teach at Southside for over 25 years!   I have taught first, second and third grade.   I am so glad that your child will be in my class this year!

I will be teaching your child all of the following subjects:   Reading, Phonics, Spelling, Language, Math, Science and Social Studies.  We will also have Math Centers Mondays through Thursdays  each week and Literacy Workstations each day. 

We have our Library day on Fridays, so please remind your child to bring his/her Library book each Friday.  First graders are checking out one book the first semester and soon we will begin taking Accelerated Reading tests. :)      We also have Computer Lab on Tuesdays each week.  At this time, we will be working on the iStations program to help us become lifelong readers and leaders!

We go to Music and P.E. each day.   Your child will need to wear or bring tennis shoes for gym and recess each day.
