About Your Teacher

Mrs. Crist took awhile to become a teacher.  She earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Brigham Young University in 1987 (Quick!! Do the approximate math!! How ancient is she?).  She continued with a rewarding career in engineering for the next 12 years that included Space Station Design, Airplane Manufacturing, and Plastics Design.  About that time, her priorities shifted to the needs of her children, her own needs for a shorter commute, and a desire to make an impact close to home in the community.  She went back to school through Region IV and worked to obtain the necessary skills to teach Secondary Mathematics.

Her greatest pride comes from her children.  She has three.  One is in high school, one is in intermediate school, and one is not near old enough for anything but pre-school.

She knows the pride each parent has in their own children as they grow and learn and make positive choices.  I am happy to be able to educate teenagers and be part of their growth in life.
