        I have the joy of being the English teacher on campus.  This is my 14th year in the district--the first seven I spent teaching the GED program at the high school.  Now I spend my days between teaching English in SAC and helping the ACE students complete requirements for graduation.

After I graduated from high school in West Columbia, I completed my college degree at Texas Woman's University in Denton, Tx.  After several summers of mission work, I returned to St. Louis, Missouri, to work as a church social worker.  Later I received my Master's degree from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary and spent two years as a children's director for a church in Longview.  Then I went overseas--a year in France (learning to speak French) and then almost seven years in West Africa as a missionary.
