Welcome!

Title 1 is a federal program designed to help students with their reading, writing, and math. Classes are held during music time, allowing extra instruction in these core subjects.

Working closely with the classroom teachers, I follow the AISD scope and sequence.  I was trained this summer in The Reading Horizons Program. This is an intense phonics program which helps the students become more proficient readers. I have implemented it with my first and second graders along with the Guided Reading Program.  

I serve a maximum of eight students every 30 minutes. My classroom is filled with lots of activities such as computers, board games, versatiles, SRA, manipulatives, etc.
