About Miss Turney

My name is Jennifer Turney, librarian at AHS since 2004. I am a 1995 graduate of Angleton High School. After high school, I went to Brazosport College and Sam Houston State University for my Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education. I taught 3rd grade and 5th grade for 3 years before coming to AHS. Then, I attended the University of Houston-Clear Lake to earn a Master's Degree in Library and Information Science.

When I'm not in the Library, I coach the AHS Speech & Debate Team and travel with the Speech & Drama Club to competitions. I also direct the handbell choir at my church and serve as an elder on the church session.

In my spare time, I enjoy reading, crocheting, dancing, cooking, and playing with my dog Gus.
