General Library Information:
Students are encouraged to read a wide variety of books and take tests through the Accelerated Reader program. Students have minimal test point requirements as set by their teachers. However, students who go above and beyond the requirement can earn special recognition!
Fall 2009 Radical Reader Trip:
The deadline to earn Radical Reader points is Friday, December 12th. The Fall Trip will be to Houston Museum of Science and a picnic in Herman Park! Students must earn all of the required points with at least an 80% average.
The December trip is open to 2nd, 3rd, and 4th grade students.

Science and Math Through Literature Ebooks
Click here to listen to science and math ebooks. Each book can be read in English or Spanish, teaches specific math and/or science concepts, and have an audio on/off switch. The vast majority of these books are on our AR test list.

This link will allow you to access a wide range of picture and chapter books on line! My favorite section so far is the Tumble Books storybooks. Feel free to explore the site and create your own favorite links!
Storyline Online
This is a fantastic site with books being read by members of the Screen Actors Guild. There are also activities that correlate with the different stories.
Accelerated Reader and Math Facts in a Flash
Parents may click on the link and type in their child's user name and password. (These should be written in your child's planners.) Once you have connected, you can check your child's AR points, look at what tests they have taken, and search for new AR book test titles all from the comfort or you home. You can even set it up so you can receive an e-mail each time your child takes a test!
