News & Thank Yous

In Angleton school libraries, we have much to celebrate . Join us in thanking all of those who help to make our libraries run smoothly!

 

A BIG Thank you to Diane Taylor, AISD's Executive Director of Instruction, for all of her assistance in software updates for our libraries and helping us to acquire valuable student resources.

 

Frontier's Librarian, Norma Taylor, would like to give a big THANK YOU to her volunteers: Tammy Caldwell headed up the book fair this fall with help from Ann Chaffin, Sharon Trower, and Micky Parten. Paula Ketchum takes care of Campbell's Soup labels and the Box Tops for Education program. Charlene Fuller comes and helps out wherever needed even though her kids have moved on!

 

Marguerite Sutton at Angleton Middle School would like to recognize and thank her volunteers--Cookie Hanner, Ida Pena, and Jean Williams for coming in every week to help.

 

At Westside, librarian Shelley McCoy is surrounded by wonderful volunteers. Thank you to Susie Howell, Lean Hernandez, Lydia Pena, Debra Valdez, Karen, Walsh, Lynn Bowers, Kenneth Lowell, Renee Thomas, Diana Frazier, Kandy Finley, Lauren Trottier, Lori Hawkins, and Pam Tyler.

 

Elvia Ross and Inez Hernandez are Judy Wood's shining stars in the Rancho Isabella library this year. Thank you for all your hard work!

 

Margaret McManis is fortunate to have two fantastic parent volunteers at Southside this year--Debbie Campbell and Cookie Hanner (who is doing double duty at Southside & AMS.)

 

Angleton High School has a new librarian this year--Jennifer Turney.

 

AIS Librarian Nancy Allen would like to thank Karen Walsh, Kandy Finley, Carolyn Masters, and Monica Sebesta for their help with the book fair last month. A great thanks to Kandy Finley for organizing Internet permission forms and for volunteering in the library.
