Cam Posey Memorial Scholarship Fund

1.       Recipient must be related to an active duty or veteran of the US Marine Corps

2.     Applications available through the counselors' office

3.     Applications must be received by May 1, 2008

   

Unites Space Alliance Scholarship

1.       Ethnic minority (African American, American Indian, Asian,

Hispanic or Pacific Islander)

2.     Student must be interested in pursuing a degree in engineering, technology, mathematics, or science

3.     Minimum GPA of  2.7 on 4.0 scale

4.     10 scholarships to be awarded; $2500 each

2008-2009 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)

1.  Change in Distribution for 2008-2009 FAFSA-The FAFSA forms will NOT be available to us any more in bulk form.  Students and parents can obtain a paper FAFSA from the Student Aid Information Center by calling 1-800-4-FED-AID (1-800-433-3243) or by visiting www.edpubs.org

2.  Students can get three copies of the paper application and should receive their FAFSA's in three to seven business days.

3.  Students and parents are encouraged to begin their application process today by visiting www.FederalStudentAid.ed.gov where they will find a simplified process for filling out the FAFSA.  There are three sections that are easy to follow all the way through.

4.  A special section for Juniors wanting to get any early start is available at the same web site www.FederalStudentAid.ed.gov called FAFSA4caster.

    

Totally Devoted Christian Workers Scholarship Fund

          Applications available in counselors' office

   

Texas Interscholastic League Foundation

          1.  Must compete in one of the UIL Academic State Meet Contests

          2.  Applicants must be May 2008 graduate

3.  Submit completed application including parents' most

     recently filed IRS 1040 forms

          4.  Applications available at www.uil.utexas.edu/tilf/

          5.  Applications must be postmarked between April 1-May 6, 2008

 

Houston Golf Association

          1.  Must have participated in ANY junior golf event

          2.  Must be enrolling as a full time college student in Fall, 2008

          3.  Application available in counselors' office
